# Steps 6- Updating Availability (Recurring Process)

While Pricepoint can calculate the availability from the bookings, it is highly recommended that PMS updates the availability as well to avoid discrepancies by actions in the PMS such as closed room, out of order room, changes in the number of rooms, etc.
