# Step 2 - Mapping Room Types

Before exchanging data between PMS/CM, room types must be mapped in between the systems to properly receive/send the availability, reservations, and prices. \
In order to map the rooms PMS/CM needs to [GET room types](https://developer.pricepoint.co/api-docs/get-rooms) and [Rates](https://developer.pricepoint.co/connecting-hotel-to-pricepoint/broken-reference) via Pricepoint API or from Pricepoint's support by requesting the list of IDs at <support@pricepoint.co>.
